Team Dae Ryun Competition
Three-versus-three team sparring format and scoring.
Team composition
Team Dae Ryun pits teams of three competitors against another team of three, with three individual matches making up the overall result. Judges follow the same rules established in the dae ryun competition section. Individual Championships may add restrictions — the number of teams from one studio, age or rank groupings, or a cap on total teams — but these must be spelled out in the registration materials. Team Dae Ryun divisions do not earn points toward the Championship cups.
- Each team consists of three members.
- Divisions are determined by gender, age (Youth — 17 and under; Adult — 18 to 34; Senior — 35 and above), and rank (Gup and Dan).

How team matches work
Judges use the same rules established in dae ryun competition — points, penalties, and the bye-out sheet all apply for the team as a unit, though penalties are not carried over from one match to the next. Each team designates its competition order before the division begins, and once set, that order cannot be changed. Matchups between teams are randomly determined.
All three matches run 1.5 minutes each with unlimited points — there's no 3-point cap like individual dae ryun. The team with the most total points after all three matches wins. If the total is tied once the third match's time expires, overtime continues until the first competitor scores a point, or avoids losing one to a warning.
